It is an essential requirement that the Chair must live or work in the Enterprise M3 LEP area. The appointment will be for a minimum of three years with the option of serving a further three-year term.

The role involves the legal duties and responsibilities of a NED and the successful candidate’s details will be filed at Companies House. The LEP holds full D&O Insurance cover.

The Board meets every other month; this and additional duties outside of meetings involves a commitment of at least 48 days a year (4 days a month).

For 2020/21, Chair remuneration has been set at £20,000 p.a., paid monthly in arrears. The oversight of the Chair will be provided by the LEP’s Nominations Committee.
