Welcome

Thank you for your interest in joining the Board of Trustees at Change Grow Live.

Change Grow Live works with some of the most vulnerable, marginalised, and disempowered people in society. Some are in the criminal justice system. Many struggle with addiction. Most face socio-economic deprivation. We believe that everyone has the capacity to change their lives and those of their families and communities if they have access to the right services and support at the right time.

We are a large, complex, and highly professional operation with a turnover of £220m, delivered by over 6,000 staff and volunteers. We earn our income and deliver our core charitable purpose by contracting with local authorities to provide c200 services in England, Wales and Scotland including alcohol and substance misuse, criminal justice, homelessness, domestic abuse, and young people. Every year we support more than 200,000 people.

Our work is shaped by a simple but powerful idea: Believe in People. This belief underpins our strategy, our operating model and culture, and our plans for the future.

The past few years have been tough, but we have maintained a strong financial base, and are proud of the way we have continued to provide services during the pandemic.

With the recent publication of Dame Carole Black’s landmark review and the launch of the government’s new 10-year drug strategy, we are now looking to the future and are excited about the opportunities for increasing our impact and influence.

Along with 4 new Trustees, I joined Change Grow Live as its new Chair last December. I can confirm that this is a brilliant charity with an outstanding team of staff and Trustees working together to deliver the best possible outcomes for those who use our services.

We are looking for a Trustee with the skills, experience, and commitment to chair our Audit and Finance Committee. If our world view and work resonate with you, and if you’re excited by the idea of helping with the next phase of Change Grow Live’s development, please do apply.
